Pasture Aid kicks off on the NSW South Coast

Davimac Group are proud to have partnered with Land HQ to support Pasture Aid. This campaign delivers seed drills to fire-affected communities on the NSW South Coast to help on the long road to recovery. A pair of Agrowdrill AD230 drills are now available for farmers in the area to borrow from Land HQ to aid in the all-important job of pasture rejuvenation following fires that devastated the area a the beginning of the year.

"We are prouder than ever to partner with Agrowplow under the PastureAid initiative to deliver these units to the area as part of bushfire recovery," says Raymond Dunlop, Branch Sales Manager at Agriquip by LandHQ.

"Our team is working directly with farmers to help them restore their farmland and support the farming enterprise. We are calling it 'borrow a drill from a mate' because LandHQ and Agriquip by LandHQ have always been there to support locals," Mr Dunlop said.

Agrowplow principal, Shannon McNab says that one of the biggest impacts of post-fire recovery is lack of ground cover. "Our Pasture Aid initiative puts critical machinery into the hands of the people on the South Coast who need it most."

Heavy rain events on bare sloping ground commonly results in much of it not entering the soil and running off the paddock. It's an ideal time to get these units into the hands of landowners in time for pasture recovery and to assess if the paddock will need to be re-sown," he said.

The Currowan bushfire devastated the Bega Valley, Eurobodalla and parts of the Snowy Monaro at the beginning of the year - burning for 74 days and across 499,621 hectares including thousands of hectares of farmland. The team at Agrowplow believe in “prosperity through soil care” and aim to help ensure the success and productivity of their customers long into the future. Many of their seed drill users have praised their accuracy, durability and reliability, and are impressed with how easy it is to direct drill into hard dry soils.

The two AD230 seed drills will be available from a central location (please contact us for current location).
